Government Support For Business Energy

Government Support For Business Energy

Support for business energy bills from the Government is unlikely to be delivered until November.
It will be backdated though to the 1st October.
A Government spokesman said, "We will confirm further details of the business support scheme next week. The scheme will support businesses with their October energy bills including backdating if necessary". The precise mechanism and amount of support may not be finalised until November therefore it will be backdated. However, that support is only due to last for 6 months with an option to extend support to 'vulnerable businesses' although that definition hasn't been revealed. Whilst we wait renewals are being done under normal conditions and we advise not to fall into default tariffs as these can be more costly. If you need more information then happy to help.
